Bamboo Investments
Bamboo Investments - How it Works

- The cycle begins with evaluating how many clumps you wish to invest in (minimum investment is 25 clumps for timber and shoot production at £3,995).
- Your investment funds will be used to procure bamboo saplings known as “clumps”. These will be planted on our bamboo plantations in Thailand.
- Once funds have cleared, you will undergo a compliance procedure (within your 14 day cooling off period) where our compliance team will make sure you are 100% clear on the investment, and are happy to proceed.
- After compliance has been conducted, you will receive all legal documentation, pertaining to your investment
- Your bamboo saplings are then grown and maintained on the plantation by the plantation management company of your choice under a separate management contract.
- From year two onwards bamboo shoots are cultivated whilst the main poles/culms are allowed to grow for timber production.
- From year four the bamboo culms are mature enough to be commercially harvested and generate income from timber and biomass sales.
- Once harvested your bamboo will be sold to industry where it will be processed into various products such as: hardwood flooring, timber, food, textiles and medicines.
- The net proceeds from sales shall be paid to you on an annual basis, starting from the end of year two of the investment period.
- Further bamboo will re-grow from the same clump and roots, generating larger poles/culms each year without replanting. Harvesting shoots from the larger stands in a rotational method encourages larger poles to develop.
- After year 15 the bamboo’s characteristics change and production levels diminish. Clients will receive a final harvest return and your investment will finish. After this the plantation will be replanted to ensure the sustainable life cycle and maximum productivity is maintained.
